JKA KARATE-DO EMPOW-LIL ACADEMY

Master your mind. Strengthen your body. Train in Martial Arts

About the Dojo

At JKA EMPOW-LIL ACADEMY, we are committed to providing a flexible and dynamic training environment for students of all ages and skill levels. Our carefully designed training programs ensure that everyone - whether you're a beginner or an advanced practitioner has the opportunity to grow and excel in their karate journey.

We believe that karate-do can deliver a simple but powerful set of benefits. Clearly, self-defense is at the top of the list, along with fitness and confidence. But also being respectful towards each other - it’s as important in the dojo as it is in the outside world. The final benefit of karate?  Enjoyment. There's no point in karate training if it’s not enjoyable, whether this comes from your own progress or simply having a laugh.

    Karate For Kids & Teens

The academy takes care of the development of its pupils from an early age. Children from the age of 4 train in the club. They learn how to live an active and healthy life, shape their character, and correct their figure. Systematic training teaches them humility and discipline. Thanks to karate classes, hyperactive children calm down, and shy ones gain more self-confidence. Karate develops comprehensively and harmoniously.

    Adults Karate

Karate can be started at any age, regardless of physical strength. Systematic training improves circulation, strengthens the body, and helps to maintain good shape and well-being.

    Private Lessons

We also offer specialized private training sessions where students practice advanced techniques, improve conditioning, and prepare for tournaments.

    Karate For People With Disabilites

The Academy conducts trainings for people with neurological problems (Down syndrome, ADHD). Thanks to the training, participants gain more self-confidence. Individuals with special needs find that they can easily adapt and fit in with the main stream. We are about inclusiveness, not exclusiveness.

Why JKA EMPOW-LIL ACADEMY?

We practice authentic Japanese karate through JKA, our governing body and one of the most influential Shotokan karate organizations in the world. We take our karate seriously, and that includes the fun and enjoyment we all get out of being members of JKA EMPOW-LIL Academy. We’re an open and welcoming karate club, properly and efficiently run with the interests, welfare, and enjoyment of our students as our top priority.

Owner and Sensei, Lilia Tintila Boaghi is an experienced instructor of both junior and senior karate students. The club benefits hugely from her competition success and experience as a qualified instructor.

In addition to regular club training, we attend JKA’s national and international courses. We also run joint activities with other regional clubs and organize our own masterclasses with inspiring instructors.
